Nail Surgery can be undertaken if a deformed, painful or infected toe nail cannot be managed conservatively.
An initial assessment will be carried out, including medical and medication history to assess suitability for nail surgery.
What to Expect?
During the procedure, the toe will be numbed with local anaesthetic and either part or the whole of the nail can be removed dependent on the agreed treatment plan.
A chemical can be applied to prevent the nail regrowing, or dependant on the desired outcome the nail can be allowed to regrow.
